I've got tickets for way way way in the back at The Forum. I never had a chance to see the original band (probably a good thing though, from what I hear about the late 90's shows). I have no idea what to expect, but I"m going to hope for the best. I'm also used to seeing bands in small venues. I don't know if I'll like this arena deal.

Eh, yeah, the tickets are high, but concert tickets cost a fortune these days. I guess bands have to make up for the fact that people don't buy music any more. The tickets are a hell of a lot cheaper than the other oldies acts. Rolling Stones, Eagles, etc. I also think the scalpers will take a beating on this tour. No one is going to pay the crazy ass prices the scalpers and ebay folks are asking.

Thank God we didn't have to buy through TicketBastard!

Side note:

If you are in the LA are, you should check out Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings. They'll be performing at Club Nokia on Jan 25th. Tickets are $26 before the Ticketmaster fucking!!

Here's a live clip-

Get real kid. The original Grateful Dead were a touring band. They made most of their $$$ playing live concerts instead of selling albums. In that case, buying fewer CDS had little effect on them getting rich...
